Humble Beginnings

My eyes are open and what do I see. People in motion, feeling out their way, where are they going why haven’t they found what is most important to them? Is it because they have not asked themselves the right questions?

I’ll ask if you have ever sat down at a table with paper and a pen, given thought into what scares you, what motivates you, and what makes you happy. It is from these questions that the nature of your journey reveals itself.

The next step is the most challenging. It is also the step where freedom begins and the distraction goes away. Eliminate the noise, all of the background music that is not helping you focus on what centers you. One by one pick off those annoying habits, enablers, negative self talk… and you are left with a clear path between this moment and humble beginnings.

    You could go tomorrow, so be happy today.

    I was very “lucky” a few weeks back (not getting severely injured on a motorbike accident). Finally after asking myself who I wronged or why this occurred… I realize, in the end happiness (low stress/anxiety) supersedes any; discipline, need, goal, etc. (Not a new internalization of this idea, only a slight shift.) It is a question of the chicken or egg. Is it your training, nutrition, sleep, supplementation, etc. Or is it your mood, emotional state, belief-system, etc. which nurtures greatest happiness.

    On one side of the coin there is: Out of intelligent programming comes a stronger mind and body more adaptable to happiness. (You are happy Doing the practice.)

    On the other side of the coin there is: Happiness from the aftermath of executing a set program. (You are happy From the practice.)

    I hope that your (mental & physical) programming are actually helping, not hurting your general happiness. (I know it’s a bit of a foo foo thought, but valid none the less.) See the bigger picture! The truth is coming…
