The Process

Sorry folks, Training is not about how muscles feel. It is about how the body (skeleton) moves through space. Moving optimally trumps any b.s. “muscle pump”.

*Want to be injury free?< move gracefully.
*Want to be strong?< move efficiently (max performance).
*Want to have endurance?< move through patterns of least resistance.
Again, concern yourself with how your muscles feel and you lose the importance of how your body moves (positioning).

The difference is

Moving through greatest ranges of motion (closed chain) is a skill, and using a machine to fatigue the muscle is not. Learn first how to manipulate the body’s postural position. Then, learn how to activate muscle tension prior to specific movements. Learn to balance; gravity, force, and dynamic loads. Do all this and you will never concern yourself with the “burn” instead you will do all of the work necessary (skill/pattern development, R.O.M, hypertrophy, specialized performance) to be a better practitioner of movement.
